Invested In Giving Back

Launched in 2019, through CNO Financial Group’s Invested In Giving Back program, associates nominate and vote for their favorite charities to receive $160,000 in donations. In addition, executive leaders selecte an employee for the 2019 Volunteer of the Year Award among employees who completed a minimum of 50 volunteer hours throughout the year. The award results in a $10,000 donation made to the charity of the award recipient's choice.

In 2019, nine nonprofits received a share of $160,000.

  • Alzheimer's Association (Greater Indiana Chapter)
  • American Cancer Society
  • Children's Scholarship Fund Philadelphia
  • CICOA Aging and In-Home Solutions
  • Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana
  • Mended Little Hearts on Indianapolis
  • The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research
  • PAWS Chicago
  • St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital

In addition to the company's donations, CNO recognized Gail Mitchell, CNO vice president of underwriting, with the Invested in Giving Back 2019 Volunteer of the Year award. Gail received this recognition for her philanthropic efforts on behalf of CICOA Aging & In-Home Solutions in Indianapolis. The company also gave the organization a $10,000 donation on Gail's behalf.
